Today I’m a corporate speaker on the topics of Unconscious Bias and Diversity and Inclusion, but my journey with the speaking industry goes back 20 years. Fresh out of university I worked for Sir Chay Blyth who taught me about the speaking industry and funded my postgraduate studies in marketing with the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
Propositioned by Debra to give up my then day job as the marketing manager of a global training company, I turned my attention to branding and packaging her as a speaker. I then spent over a decade as a speaking agent both to Debra and several other speakers. I was able to introduce a number of new speakers to the speaking circuit and developed strong working relationships with the main speaking bureaus from the UK, Europe, USA, China and Australia.
In 2014 I became the Managing Director of MIX Diversity Developers, consulting with major corporations on communications strategy relating to inclusivity, particularly around gender, disability and religion. I am booked to speak on Inclusive Leadership by both public and private sector clients including Bloomberg, Lloyds Banking Group, T-Systems, Skanska, UCAS, CQC and Diageo.
I live in the New Forest with my husband, two children and Moby the Labrador. I’m currently training to swim the English Channel in August 2017 for a charity called ORFUND.
